OCD Anxiety Centers Colorado LLC

A calm corner for hard days

Face the worry. Climb the ladder.Find the calm.

OCD Anxiety Centers Colorado LLC runs a structured outpatient clinic where every session is a rail stop and every brave step is recorded. Our treatment rooms at 11260 S River Heights Dr, South Jordan - 84095-5119, United States (US) were built for people whose days are crowded by intrusive thoughts, repeated checking, avoidance and a quiet exhaustion that few friends understand.

We work in small steps on purpose. A clinician helps you name the worry, rank it on a ladder from mild to fierce, and then practice the climb at a pace your nervous system can tolerate rather than the pace a stopwatch demands.

Families are part of the work. We teach the people who live with you how to support practice without turning the household into a reassurance machine.

What we do

Structured outpatient care for OCD and anxiety disorders

OCD Anxiety Centers Colorado LLC is a computer-era clinic with an old-fashioned habit: we write things down, measure them honestly, and review them with you. Our programs combine evidence-based exposure and response prevention with practical skills, family coaching and a step-down plan so that progress made in the clinic holds up at home, at work and in the grocery aisle.

Much of what we treat looks ordinary from the outside. A person who takes forty minutes to leave the house is not lazy. A teenager who rewrites homework until the paper tears is not dramatic. A parent who washes every dish twice is not careless. These are patterns maintained by fear, and fear responds to structured practice far more reliably than it responds to willpower.

Our clinic serves adults and adolescents across the South Jordan area who live with obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety, specific phobias and body-focused repetitive behaviors. We also see people whose anxiety arrives alongside depression, attention difficulties or autism, and we plan carefully around those overlaps rather than pretending they are not there.

Every treatment plan begins with a genuine conversation. We ask what a hard morning looks like, what you have already tried, and what would count as a meaningful improvement in your own words. Then we build the ladder together.

Six pages from the clinical notebook. Each one is a service we deliver in the South Jordan rooms, and each links to a fuller description on the services page.

Intensive Outpatient Programs

For people whose symptoms have narrowed daily life, our intensive outpatient program offers several hours of structured treatment each week across a defined number of weeks. Sessions combine exposure practice, skills coaching and family work in a schedule that supports school or employment.

Intensity is not punishment. It is a way to build momentum when weekly appointments have not been enough.

Assessment and Treatment Planning

Before treatment begins, a clinician completes a careful assessment of symptoms, history, safety and daily functioning. You leave with a written plan that names targets, ranks them on a brave ladder and sets review points.

No two plans in our clinic look the same, because no two worry patterns behave the same way.

Individual Therapy Sessions

Weekly individual sessions give you a private space to practice the hardest steps with a clinician beside you. We use exposure and response prevention as the core method and adjust the pace as your confidence changes.

Between sessions you receive practical homework, and the next session starts with an honest review of how it went.

Family Education Workshops

Families often become part of the compulsion without meaning to. Our workshops explain the cycle, teach supportive responses and help households reduce accommodation in a coordinated way.

Workshops are practical, plain spoken and designed for parents, partners and adult siblings who want to help without taking over.

Group Skills Training

Small groups meet to practice skills that are easier to rehearse with company: tolerating uncertainty, sitting with discomfort, and responding to intrusive thoughts without ritual. Groups stay small so that everyone speaks.

Participants consistently report that hearing another person describe the same thought is a relief that no handout can produce.

Step-Down Continuing Care

When acute symptoms settle, we step down rather than stop. Continuing care reduces session frequency while keeping review, relapse planning and quick access in place.

The goal is a life that no longer revolves around the clinic, with a clear plan for what to do if the worry returns.

How the climb works

A method you can see on paper

Exposure and response prevention is the best studied psychological treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder, and it is the backbone of our work. The idea is simple even though the practice is not: approach the feared situation on purpose, stay with the discomfort long enough to learn something new, and resist the ritual that usually brings relief.

We make the process visible. Every client keeps a brave ladder, a ranked list of situations from mildly uncomfortable to genuinely frightening. We start low, repeat often, and move up only when the lower rungs have lost their sting. When a rung is too steep, we split it.

Measurement without judgment

We track anxiety ratings, ritual counts and avoidance before and after each practice set. Numbers are a tool for planning, not a grade. A hard week of practice that ends in a small gain is still a week of progress.

Skills that travel

Clinic walls do not teach a nervous system anything by themselves. Practice happens in hallways, parking lots, kitchens, shops and inboxes, because that is where the worry lives.

What a treatment week can include

  • A check-in on the worry log and a review of practice from the previous week.
  • One or more supervised exposure sets chosen from your ladder.
  • A group skills session focused on uncertainty tolerance and response flexibility.
  • Family education or coaching where accommodation is part of the cycle.
  • Practical homework for the days between appointments, written in plain language.
  • A brief planning note on what to do if symptoms spike.

Every one of these elements appears in our published program descriptions, and every one is adjusted to the person in front of us. Programs are delivered by licensed clinicians and supervised trainees who review cases together each week.

If you are unsure whether structured treatment is right for you, the first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We will tell you honestly if a different level of care would serve you better.

From first call to steady ground

Three honest stages

People arrive at our clinic at very different points in their story. The path below is what most clients experience, though the timeline is always individual.

1. Listen and map

We start with an assessment that maps the worry, the rituals and the avoidance, then agree on what to work on first. You receive a written plan before treatment practice begins.

2. Practice and build

Intensive or weekly sessions carry the core of the work. We rehearse the brave steps repeatedly, adjust the difficulty, and bring family members into the loop when accommodation is holding the cycle in place.

3. Step down and sustain

As symptoms settle, sessions become less frequent. Continuing care keeps a review rhythm and a relapse plan so that gains survive a stressful month or an unexpected setback.

Who we welcome

Adults and adolescents living with OCD, panic, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, specific phobias and related conditions are welcome to inquire. We also welcome family members seeking education, and we coordinate with outside psychiatrists and primary care clinicians when medication is part of a persons care.

We are not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line without delay.
